When we woke up this morning the sky was clear and blue, the birds were chirping, and it was 14 degrees outside!!!!

Kylie and Ryan both rugged up in long clothes but that had to change again by the time we left as the temperature had climbed to 21 degrees.
It was a much nicer drive today – about the same distance as yesterday but no windy roads so we arrived a few hours earlier. Kylie was happy about that!!

The closer we got to Dubbo, the browner the grass became. We’re really in the country now!!
On the drive down we were daydreaming about moving to the country and opening a café and petting zoo. I’m not sure that Kylie could cope with the cold weather though!!
As we were driving into Coonabarabran we noticed that the town boasts itself as the astronomy capital of Australia – they even have a monument to Saturn:

Quiz Question #49 – How many named moons of Saturn are there?
Rest Stops – Gunnedah, Coonabarabran
Accommodation – BIG4 Dubbo Parklands
