Today was a much better day to wake up to weather wise – the sun was shining, blue skies all around and no clouds. A perfect day for a visit to the wildlife park!!
We spent the morning at the Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary in Port Douglas – similar to the wildlife park we went to in Townsville, but more birds:



Like last time, Ryan enjoyed feeding the wildlife – kangaroos and ducks, although this time instead of mixed seed they had little pellets:


Port Douglas is basically a posh little beachside holiday resort, with plenty of flashy five star hotels (we counted about 20 just down the main road) and plenty of tourists.
This afternoon we had a stroll down Four Mile Beach where Ryan enjoyed making sandcastles:

I forgot to mention yesterday on the drive up here that all along the road we saw plantation after plantation of sugar cane and also bananas – they’re everywhere!!
