We decided to stay an extra day in The Whitsundays and took a cruise off to Daydream Island, a 25 minute cruise from Airlie Beach.
The water is a lovely blue-green colour with this photo being from the back of the boat ‘The Orca’:
We had about four hours on the island and we started the afternoon with lunch at Mermaids Restaurant where the sneaky birds kept trying to eat our lunch:
There were beautiful views of the water, beaches and other islands everywhere you looked:
After lunch we wandered around Daydream Village and had a swim in one of the many pools they have:
Ryan didn’t get a nap (unfortunately) as he normally goes down at around 11am (the time the bus picked us up) but he was (mostly) well behaved.
By 4pm though as we jumped on the boat to go home he laid his head on my shoulder and didn’t wake up for about an hour!!
